Like any progressive company, Select Fabricators,
Inc. continues to grow and change. Please come back often to check the
latest news, alliances, and links.
April, 2005 Select Fabricators, Inc. Expands
Its Plant
Select Fabricators, Inc. has expanded its
footprint at the 5310 North Street location. A second office and
production facility has been added. The office location will house
quality, sales and marketing offices as well as a larger conference room. "This
expansion gives SFi room to grown and engage in strategic partnerships with
organizations in the cleanroom, laboratory testing and fulfillment industries",
stated Gary Winch, COO. The additional production facility will be used for the
staging of large jobs as well as a secure holding area. All correspondence
still should be addressed to P.O. Box 119, Canandaigua, NY 14424-0119.
June 2005: “Clean” is even cleaner; SFi’s
upgraded cleanroom environment for contract manufacturing
Reaching a new level of clean manufacturing, Select Fabricators, Inc. now has an
ISO Class 5 certified environment supported by an ISO Class 7 clean room. This
facility provides strict particulate control vital to the production of
industrial barrier bags, component bags and shielded enclosures such as the
tents, shrouds and covers needed to protect sensitive equipment of all shapes
and sizes. The Fed. Std. 209 Class 100 (ISO Class 5) certified environment is
available for the manufacture and assembly of flexible packaging for industrial,
military and medical components without detrimental bioburden effects.
Select Fabricator’s (SFi) new low particulate clean room environment produced
large poly bags, sensitive equipment covers, and EMI shielded tents for
customers after its installation in April 2004. The clean room’s function is to
filter out all particles and control both temperature and humidity. A Class 100
clean room means that the room may contain a maximum of 100 particles per cubic
foot of air. To keep that in perspective, according to experts who measured
particulates, there can up to one million particles in a cubic foot of space in
the typical office building.
Where do these particles come from? People, the outside environment and
manufacturing process all release particles into the atmosphere. These
particulates can severely damage sensitive components like optics, circuit
boards and relays. Manufacturing in a clean room environment enhances product
quality and reliability. For more information, contact Select Fabricators,
